The P95 with a decock only is a defensive weapon and the long trigger pull is built in for safety. Maybe be able to to adjust it if not a "decock only", so I was told.

Put a few hundred rounds through it and you won't even notice the long pull. It's a Ruger, the brick that works. Love mine.

My two cents from a nonexpert.

Pack slow, fall stable, pull high, hit dead center.<BR>

I have the P97 (exact same gun except in 45), and I know exactly what you are talking about. My trigger is smooth, but longer than normal double actions. My only real gripe is that it is much different of a trigger than my other auto's, so switching around on my guns isnt as easy with that one. However it has the best single action trigger of all my autos, go figure. My 97 is a extremly accurate gun, I really like it. I douby a smith could do much for it.
