12 gauge hammer gun
I have a 12 gauge hammer sxs with damascus barrels. The barrels are marked "London Damascus". The side plate is marked "Jos. Hill". Can anyone tell me what this shotgun is and maybe it's value? For a shotgun this old it is in very good condition. Bores smooth, wood very good, lock up tight. Thanks for any help.[?]

Most guns marked "London Twist" were made for the export trade. If English the gun is most probably on the lower end of the scale, but of fair to good quality. If Belgian, then the gun is on the poor side of quality.
Belgian - "ELG" proofs.
English - Look for crossed swords or roses (or a combination).
Proofs are the only real way to tell what you have.
