Woodland Whisper 2 - Anybody Use?
Has anyone used the Woodland Whisper 2 "hearing enhancer with compression"? It's the bottom product on the following page:

I plan to start handgun hunting this fall and am worried about the sound from my .44 magnum with no ear protection, and a device like this would seem to be great. It is a cheaper version of the Walker Game Ear. I could buy two of the Woodland Whisper 2 for about $100, where 2 of the Walker Game Ears would cost over $300. The thought "you get what you pay for" rings in my ear, but I'm wondering if anyone has indeed tried this product.

If You were a Bow Hunter, I'd see No problems...You could hear the deer hiccup at a 100 paces and Hear the Bow make a Twanging Noise without any undue damage to your earbones...But to Crank Offa .44 caliber Hand Cannon while wearing these Amplifiers is gonna Make your Eyes Bug Out and Blow Your Nose for You at the same time... I got nothing against these electronic Marvals But if they amplify the 'Bang' about a zillion Times..I think I'd Pass.......

Some of the high dollar ones shut off when the db's reach a certain level, supposedly protecting your hearing. I believe one of "game ears" does that.
