sorry to break the news to you, but every barrel eats 22 hornets differently. whatever receipe i share with you may not work in your bbl. and...i loaded them all! just the slightest deviation will throw a group off. the best bet is to just go buy the powders and bullets, and spend a rainy day loading them all up at all the different receipes in the book; then, go out and see what works best on paper. choose the best, write it down, and burn up the rest with friends and family! enjoy!

I am using Winchester brass, Sierra 53 gr. hp match bullets, and Viht. N110 powder for my 10 in. TC Contender. I and other Silo. shooters seat the bullets out farther so that they are just touching or very near the rifling. You will need to experiment to find what works best and make sure the Contender will close. Like others have stated you will need to test a number of powder charge weights to find what shoots best in your gun. Good Luck!

to prove my point about not knowing the best load and how much of a swing there is in accuracy, a 40gr soft tip bullet works best for me! note our friend using 53gr! asking what store bought ammo is best is anyones guess until you go to the range. good luck!

The .22 Hornet one of my favorite small bore rifle calibers. If I didnt choose to load my own I would choose Remington, both of my guns like it and Ive chronyied it and it has the advertised velocity Remington advertises.I have a .22 Hornet over a 12GA for Turkey Hunting and a Ruger Bolt .22 Hornet for varmit. And when I dont use reloads I always go with Remington.HTH

    Best!!
