338-06
What if any, is the difference between the 338-06 and the 338-06 A Square used by Weatherby?

Comment Excellent Elk and Bear load.
Energy 3146 ft-lbs
TKO 26364.58
OGW 1163 lbs
Note: Measured velocity is at current barrel length.
Warning: Even this was a safe load in current weapon,
ALWAYS start 5-10% lower and work yourself up to a safe
max level in your weapon.

There is also some information listed in the Accurate Arms reloading guide using the 210 Nosler Partition. I just tried their website and they seem to be experiencing some problems or I would have copied and posted their information.

You might want to try working up loads with RL15. Start at 50 grains and it should max out at about 54 grains or so. Just watch for pressure signs. The max load should be right in the 2700 FPS area if you have a normal 24" barrel. Would probably only be about 2600 or so if you have a slow 24" barrel. The 210 Nosler should be the ultimate bullet for the 338-06 IMHO.
