Browning 12 ga. question
I have a Browning BPS 12 gauge pump shotgun. I got it new as a wedding present 6 years ago (no joke! easily the best wedding present we got) and have been using it steadily ever since, mostly for skeet and dove hunting. It shoots like a champ.
Last weekend, a buddy and I were shooting some skeet in practice for dove season and the Browning jammed on me on extraction. It's done this rarely for a couple of years, but this time it did it twice in about 5 rounds. This was after firing 25-30 rounds through in quick succession, so the barrel was fairly hot (not to mention air temps of about 101 in noontime Central Texas sunshine). Each time it jammed was after the round had been fired and I was attempting to cycle the weapon. After placing the gun on safe, the only way to extract the round was to slam the butt of the gun on the railing of the deck we were shooting from while holding the slide. The expended shell ejected fine both times using this procedure, but I couldn't locate the hull to inspect the brass for scuffing, etc.
I've been shooting Remington game loads with brass bases. I noticed that one of the pins on the rear of the gun (just above the trigger) isn't flush with the side of the gun anymore.
Any suggestion about what's wrong with the gun? What to do about it? Thanks in advance from a newbie.

sounds like the barrel/chamber needs a good cleaning. the bps usualy works slicker than eel sh*t. also check the bolt lock for proper function. 0 -
Well, the barrel & chamber are clean, clean, clean. I baby that gun like none other -- and other than this it sure does work slicker than excrement.
But how do I check the bolt lock? Thanks for the tips.0
