WTK: 9mm drop-in adaptor for AR-15 for UZI mags.
I attended the 2003 Shot Show in Orlando, FL in February. There was a manufacturer (in Arizona, I think) that made a 1-piece drop-in adaptor for the AR-15 to shoot 9mm. The unique thing was that this drop-in block is designed to use Unmodified UZI mags! This was sweet, I thought. No more makeing the double cuts in UZI mags!
But, I don't remember who it was and I lost his paperwork. Anyone know of this? Please email me directly with info.

Only company I can think of here in AZ that would likely have something like that is American Spirit Arms, they make 9mm AR conversions and have a mag adapter block but I don't know what type of mag they use.

They have their own mag block, and I've heard good things about the block (and only the block). Most of their products come out with little or no quality control. I had a .223 kit I got from them that was total junk. No customer service either. Ended up selling the whole kit for 1/2 what I paid (after taking it to a 'smith who told me the chamber needed to be re-reamed). On AR15.com there are guys who have had the gas port drilled throught too far, wallowed out too wide, rough, undersize chambers, etc etc. I have heard GOOD things about their 9mm stuff though. Better research it before you buy. JT and Rock River seem to have the most satisfied cutomers. I replaced my ASA with JT and have been very pleased with it. 0 -
Thanks for the info. I'll look into American Spirit Arms. The key is the ability to use UZI mags "unmodified". 0 -
I FOUND IT! I was wrong... Not Arizona... but Texas.

Will use all uzi military mags and "most" after market uzi mags. Converts standard AR15/M16 mag wells for use with 9MM. No drilling, no tools, no hassel. Only compatible with uzi mags that have a ridge on the back side. Will not work with magazines that have flush a back. Made in USA.0 -
Also, CDNN has 20rd UZI mags that are dual-cut to work in the AR as well. Just FYI.[;)]
