weaver dovetail on ruger 44/99

I am trying to mount a holo scope on my Ruger Deerfield, 44/99. I need to use a weaver style rail. My ruger came with scope rings, but I have been unable to find something that will fit my rifle to the rails. The gun shop were I bought the ruger has tried several adapters but was unable to find any that work.

  I just installed a set of Burris, Ruger to Weaver adapters on my No. 1 Ruger. However, I found it necessary to alter my Weaver rings to fit the Burris base. Burris part number 410991.

  I am using raised scope mounts by Weaver on my .44 semi-auto carbine. If memory serves, Leupold makes a set of mounts for it as well. I'll look later to see what else I have up there that'll work. I used to have a standard scope on it.

  Milt did anyone offer any advise? I am in the same position looking for a weaver rail for my 99/44.
