export to Europe

Hello, does anybody know anything about export to Europe and an US exportban on smallarms?

Please inform me with all info you've got.
The reason for asking is that I bought a Accuracy International in the U.S.A. and am waiting now for over 4 months. I got one export denied because papers weren't filled properly but it's been another 4 weeks now.

  The Dept of State issues export permits for "munitions"; they are free to the occasional exporter. However, the process is extremely difficult and takes at least a year or two. And, someone on the receiving end may have to go through a similar process to import the gun.
  
  My advice is to forget it unless you enjoy matching wits with a mindless bureaucracy; it's not worth the trouble.
