Can someone please tell me the date of manufacture of a Remington Model 121 Fieldmaster, Serial Number 53870? [:D]

looking at a remington 7400 and wondering how I can determine by the serial number what exact model it is. Serial is C8001508. Any info would be great, thanks.

Remington uses a two digit code located
on the left side of the barrel,just in front
of the reciever.Post it and I'll look'er up.

Thank you Bobbywins, the stamping on this one on the left side of the barrel just in front of the receiver is "EK P" (of course, sans quotation marks.)

According to my source,your model 121 was
manufactured in Oct. 1941.They were made
1936-1954.Glad to help.
