broken fireing pins (browning autos)

does any one have a cure i snaped one in my browning gold today and some other shooters have broken them enough that they are srarting to carry factory spares

  Are you dry firing it? Some guns, you just can't dry fire, you have to use snap caps.
  
  If it broke during normal operation, I'd send it back to the factory or a factory authorized dealer. It should be under warranty, because thats a normal operation. If it continues to occur during normal operation, then I'd find another shotgun, and write Browning's customer service dept. a letter.

  these guns are not dry fired they are competition guns they get the hell shot out of them but they are not abused i do not know how the warranty on a gun that gets at least 200 rounds a week through it these guns get shot ALOT. i dont think that would be normal operations

  I've had two friends who both had Gold's break firing pins after 1500 rounds or so (sporting clays). The one fella digs pretty deep in things and found out Browning had a tempering/design problem with some of the first firing pins. He went to one of the AR rifle specialty people and found one that made titanium pins for the Browning Gold. Never had a problem after that. You might check around with Browning . I will try to pry out where he got the titanium pin over the next couple days.

  I got a hold of the guy today. He tried finding a titanium firing pin but zeroed on that. What he did find was that Allen Timney of Timney triggers had 'em. A couple years ago, they were two bucks cheaper. The biggest reason was he didn't want to get into "old stock" pins that had the same problem as his did from Browning. He found it in "Shotgun Sports" ad but I would guess that Timney has a web site possibly. I think midwayusa has other Timney products, you might give them a try.
  
  Since he put in the Timney, no further troubles.
