Dumoulin Rifles
Anybody know much about these? I can furnish a more detailed description, but basically it's marked "H. Dumoulin, Liege, Belgium". 7MM Rem Mag, Mannlicher stock, drilled for scope, no sights, checkering on grip, and forearm. Fjestad says this should be a shotgun. I'd really like to know more about it. It's a wonderful shooter. The previous owner passed away, so I can't ask him. But, his son was gracious enough to trade me for an SKS (yuck!)

These are top quality rifles, but have never been widely distributed here in the United States. Nearly all of the bolt action rifles use an FN Mauser or SAKO action and there are few features which cannot be added to the rifles. The H. Dumoulin on your rifles indicates that it was produced when the firm was under the control of Henri Dumoulin because today Henri's son Enerst is running the company. Since your rifle is not fitted with iron sights I am going to guess that it is the standard Sporter rifle. These were produced in nearly all commerically available chamberings and could be speical ordered in many other calibers as well. These are fine rifles and should give you a life time of excellent service.
