Info on old S X S
I have an International Arms Co 12. S X S hammer shotgun with damascus barrels. It has a matted rib that has "Re Enforced Barrels Patent 23 April 1881" on it. On the receiver it has H. Pieper. Can anyone give me any info on it and possible worth.

Your gun was manufactured in Liege, Belgium by Henri Pieper. The firm was founded in 1859 by Henri Pieper and was reorganized in 1898 when his son, Nicolas assumed control. The firm is best known for a series of early 20th century small caliber automatic pistols.
Your damascus barreled SXS was designed for black powder and is not safe to use with modern loads. In fact, depending on it's condition, it's probably not safe to shoot at all.
Value? My guess, as a wallhanger, maybe $50-150....depending on condition. If it has a fancy engraved finish, maybe more.0 -
