Kimber of Oregon Barrel

I recently acquired a Ruger 10/22 with a fluted stainless barrel made by Kimber of Oregon. My two questions are..
1. How good of a barrel are they? I know Kimber makes outstanding rimfires, but has anyone shot a 10/22 w/ a Kimber barrel?
2. Any ideas of a going price for said barrel.

  Wow! Kimber makes one helluva barrel, almost as nice as Clark's, better than Butler Creek, nearly as accurate as a Lilja for less money. I've seen 'em go for as much as $250 for a fluted stainless 24" at the last gunshow in Albq., never see 'em in cheaper than dirt catalogs (which oughta tell you something!).

  Thanks Gunnut. I'm hoping to get out today with it and put it through some paces. Basically i have my choice right now of the Kimber or a Volquartsen carbon fiber for the same price. Trying to do my homework before I spend the money.
