AM I SAFE IN ASSUMING THAT COWBOY ACTION AMMO. IS LOADED MILDER THAN THAN STANDARD AMMO ????
IF SO DOES ANYONE MFG. 38 S&W (NOT SPECIAL)

  The .38 has come from 38 colt, - 38 S&W - 38 S&W long - 38 Special. There are Cowboy Loads in the 38 special, but if you prefer 38 S&W Remington still makes them in a 50 round box.

  "cowboy ammo" would denote lead bullets,as that's all that's allowed in cowboy action shooting.*cas*
  And yes,it probalby indicates lower power loads but not necessarily "wimp" loads...just loads loaded for older pistols used in cas....or their clones.
