Browning BAR 22
I just got an excellent display of a Browning BAR 22. I know it is a 1978 model Grade I. I am curious as to what it is worth and if anyone knows about the hostory of the gun in this caliber. I know the BAR has been around forever but am curious of how this caliber worked out. I would also like to know if there are any good websites devoted to this gun. Thanks for the help!

Not sure what you mean by "worked out". The BAR-22 was only made in .22LR & .22 short. It is a completely different rifle from the high power "BAR".
The BAR-22 was made in Belgium by Fabrique Nationale from 1914-1976; since then, it has been made in Japan by Miroku. There are numerous grades & variations, many of them highly collectible. Interestingly, Norinco made a passable copy of this gun for several years. I would think that your gun would sell in the $100-350 range, depending upon condition & accessories.
