looking for a value of a colt 375 H-H.
can't find one for sale anywhere
98% with a 3/9 leupold. i have blue book.

  99% wood/blue,except front sight and first 8in
  of barrel is 85%or90%.

  value of scope if sold separate

  I have NEVER heard anyone indicate that re-bluing is a good idea IF the firearm has collector value. I do not know if your rifle has collector value. I would be interested in hearing the value. I have always liked those rifles and would want one as a shooter!

  According to the "Blue Book of Gun Values," in 90% condition, you would be looking at about $900.00. Condition is the key to values on these guns.....! If you "re-blue" the gun, expect the value to go down......25% to 50%, or even more in some cases.
  
  The Grand Alaskan Model was made from 1978 until 1985. Unfortunately, the Serial Numbers of these guns are not available in any publications I am aware of. You might be able to purchase a "Factory Letter" from the Colt Firearms Historical Department and they may be able to determine the exact year of manufacture if you require this information. These are quite collectible rifles if in 98% or better condition. Hope this helps!

  I thought a Scope Expert would answer you on this.....but I guess they are all on vacation. Anyway, let me suggest you do a search for this scope on E-Bay and be sure to check out the "completed" items, also. You will find out exactly what they have sold for and are presently selling for.......Good Luck!

  The scope sells for $400, up and down a little.
  Used -- maybe $200 to $300, according to condition.
  
  Note - it's the perfect scope for what that rifle's designed for.
  It's made for heavy-kicking rifles, foul weather, dangerous charging animals, has more eye relief, can shoot with both eyes open,- one thru the scope and one on the game.

  Don,
  
  I saw one of these go at a gun show a year or so ago, same chambering.
  The condition was 80% maybe 85%, had a beat-up old weaver scope on it and the guy was asking $2,000. He took $1,800 for it.
  
  I'd bet it would bring a few hundred, or maybe even $1,000, over the blue book price quoted above. Timing may be the key for the best price. Seems September and January typically bring the highest prices.
  
  Colts are harder and harder to find. Guys just don't let them go.
  I have a "crispy" 30-06 in the same. Alot of guys have mistaken it for a Weatherby and once they see it's a Colt they usually make an offer.
