French MAS Handgun

I recently found a handgun that looks similar to a 1911 design, it is marked MAS 35 along with some proof marks. Does anyone have any idea what caliber it might be?

  "32 French Long" real hard to come by! Unless you have the ammo the pistol is just a wallhanger. Check out this link.
