Length of S@W 22 Cylinder
Can anyone tell me for certain the different lengths of a Smith 22 K frame cyliner. A 38 special model 64 is 1.560. A 22 K frame with recessed rim is 1.617. A model 65 357 with recessed rim is 1.670 and the non-recessed cylinder is 1.625. Is the 22 mag on a K frame a different length than the LR. Did they make it on the model 15 or 19 frame.

SP, I'm not sure whether this addresses your situation or not, but I measured the only S&W .22 cylinder around here - a Mod 63 .22 Long Rifle. It measures 1-7/16" or approx 1.4375" - I don't know what the frame designation is. Best, Jim

A model 48 is a K frame same as a mod 15 or 19.A .22LR cylinder for a
K frame would have to be the same length as a .22 mag cylinder.
