the case is 50" long / 5" wide / 3" deep
metal construction, black finish, 3 hinges on back, 2 clasps and a carrying handle on front.
foam lined interior. 4 piece kit, all parts intact, in original packeging, dated 1977
its in perfect condition, all original and intact.
what is it ??? what cannon was it for??? will it work on other 20mm arms (ie. LAHTI, BOFORS, etc...)??? what is it worth??? who would want it??? any history, information, stories, etc... would be helpful. i found it stuffed in the rafters in the basement of the shop. sure makes a neat coffe table item. best regards, mike.

It is used for the General Electric M61A1 20mm Vulcan cannon on many USAF airplanes & helicopters. I can't imagine what else it could be used for, or who on Earth would want one (the gage kit, that is.)

i am not sure where it came from, or what it is worth. i may post it here on GB for sale/auction, but its a bit of an oddball item. it appears to be unused, the pieces still in there protective wrappers. i have no idea what price to put on it. best regards, mike.
