by people who've never tried anything close, and are scared of their own shadows. Anyone can use a propane torch and pliers, melt the lead out of Sierra 185 gr jhp's, replace it with liquid steel epoxy, and get the same 60 gr bullet I did. They can start with 7 grs of Bullseye, notice that such a load wont even work the slide, work up 1 gr at a time until the loads cycle the slide softly, then normally, then at Plus P levels (except a 60gr jhp never GETS to plus P levels. In 2 hours, you will see that I am correct, and that the sticks in the mud here are wrong.

I'm not into reloading but your basis idea is good. A lot of accepted opinion and conventional wisdom may not have been fully explored. Put an idea into practice like you did, start cautiously and work up to max, especially when involved with possible hazards. My example is welding springs that I was told for years can't be done. I have welded (arc) dozens of springs successfully.

Perhaps if you subsitute the BULLSEYE Powerd for Fulminate of Mercury, the slide will come back with more authority? (Just a Suggestion, I don't want to steal your Thunder).
