Can someone tell me in what year Mossberg made the model 25A bolt action single shot 22 and will it shoot shorts to long rifle as it says on the barrel? There is no S/N on it that I can find.

  Hi; Does anyone know of the accuracy of Mossbergs out of box? How would they compare to the Savages? Thanks in advance, Mike

  The Mossberg (Maverick Model 88) is referenced in the Gun Parts catalog, page 513. They are selling muzzleloader barrels that fit both models; therefore, one must assume the barrels are interchangeable. I have only seen one of the Maverick shotguns come through the shop and did not pay particular attention to it.

  Check out www.vintagesporting.com They specialize in replacement shotgun barrels, and probably have what you need.
