CETME C
I have a CETME C that more often than not misfires. I have disassembled it completely, cleaning her from stem to stern. I have no dimensions for the length of the firing pin, but from appearances it looks to be protruding from the bolt face far enough to accomplish proper ignition of the primer. When inspecting the mis-fire ammo, the dent in the primer seems sufficient. The only ammo I have used thus far, is the NATO surplus, boxer primed, brass cased product from India. Is it just me, or is there a problem with the Indian ammunition, that I'm not aware of? ANY SUGGESTIONS/QUESTIONS/ANSWERS?????.............de kb9hrs

You might have cosomoline in the hole in the bolt that the firing pin goes in allowing the firing pin blow to be absorbed inside the bolt.....I don't know if I said that right......remove bolt, remove firing pin and spray carburator cleaner(Wal-mart) inside the hole and clean out with q-tip......wear face protection........Best of Luck.......john..........[;)] 0 -
Face protection because of the carb. cleaner, or face protection when firing a CETME?? (ha ha).........thanks for the input...I'll try it.................de kb9hrs 0 -

I have one of these babys and would grab it on the way out.
I just ran some indian stuff through it that would not cycle 2 buddies m14's. I have put indian , argintiny and a few others that all go boom boom every time. you said you cleaned it but did you soak it? when I first got mine from advise of others I took mine all the way down and soaked it for a few hours( the small parts inside) to make sure to get all of the gunk out of any orfice. It is proving to be one of the most reliable semis I have owned.
