The post 1920 Remingtons are dated by letters stamped on the barrel
near the receiver. It will be something like WWR or UX. This is the code for the month and year of manufacture. The chart showing codes appears in the Blue Book Of Gun Values. I don't know if the date chart is available on the internet. If you will post the letters on your firearm, I am sure someone will get the date for you. There is some repeating of the letters. For instance, T stands for 1926, 1970 and 1999.0 -
There is documentation by serial number on some of the older models. The double shotguns and the model 11 auto are two. Post your question or try the Remington Society or Remington Arms website. Good luck. 0 -
