Have chance to buy a nice 92 Winchester 32-20. The serial no.
is 303089. Can someone help me with the date it was manufactured &
a value. It is in nice to average condition for a rifle of its age.

Gun Traders Guide(which is several years
old,but is the only one I have handy)puts
it at $1000 (repeater)-$1100 (carbine)in
excellent condition.Again,this book is several
years old.

Looks like it was made in late 1905. I don't know what "nice to average" means, but at about 50%the value would be about $750, iif it's in the 75% range about $1000. Add about 25% if its a takedown model, If its "Deluxe" (checkered wood) add 50% Again ball park. How's the bore, a gun in the 70% range, with a bright bore is worth more than a dark and pitted bore.
