Jericho .45
I'm looking into a Jericho 45 (by Magnum Research). Even though this model hasn't been produced in over 5 years, they are essentially the same as the current Baby Eagle 45 model. I can't find any info on this site regarding this gun. I'd like to get some feedback. Does anyone out there have any experience with this weapon? How does it compare to other 45's? This item is attractive to me because I don't want to spend an arm and a leg (stay below $400). I would mainly use it to shoot holes in paper. I already have a .357 for home defense, and a .38 for conceal carry. OK, I'll sit back and wait for the replies.

If I'm not mistaken, it is a variant of the CZ 75. I know that it is used by the Israeli police and some military units, but I believe in 9mm. Sorry I don't have more for you. 0 -
Jgreen is right about it being a variant of a CZ75. I do not have one in 45, but I do have one in 9mm, and have been very pleased with it. I have had no problems and it is relatively accurate. 0 -
Your SOL, the JERICHO is a trademark for a specific pistol made by Israeli Military Industries for K.B.I. a importer located in Harrisburg PA. During the early 1990's
My reference shows they were only available in (3) calibers.
1), 9mm P.
2), .40 S & W
3), .41 AE
I.M.I. has made numerous other pistols, using the basic CZ - 75 design, for other importers many of them in .45 Cal.
1), Magnum Research, BABY EAGLE
2), Uzi, EAGLE0 -
This is to rufe-snow.
Thanks for the reply. Why am I SOL? You've given me a good background on the origin of the Jericho, but I don't understand how that translates to me being SOL. Are you saying that this item is lousy? If so, can you recommend a .45 for $400 or less that is decent?0 -

Oooooooh. I see what you're saying. Your saying I'm SOL as far as the Jericho being a 45. I should have read more closely. You're saying IMI made the Jericho but not in 45. Furthermore, IMI has produced 45's but not by the trademark name of Jericho.0 -
According to an article series in Soldier of Fortune magazine,"Jerusalem Diary", by an American Sniper with the Magav in Israel; the Jericho in .40 or 9mm is the sidearm issued to the Magav, the Baseret (specialists in counter-Arab activity), and is still being manufactured for the IDF.
