length deprived shotgun?

[?] I have a savage/springfield, model 67, series C, 12 gauge & i'm looking for a tactical kit for it(pistol grip ,folding stock).Does anybody know where i can get one that is made for it. And if you know anything about it, is it possible to change the barrel? [}:)] She's A LITTLE length deprived right now.[:D]

  I'm assuming the overall length is less
  than 26".
  
  I had the same problem recently with a H&R
  single shot.Barrel length was fine(18 1\4")
  but by the time I got done cutting the stock
  down to pistol grip,I was under the 26" minimum.
  Went out and found another gun,switched buttstocks,
  and cut this one off a little longer(19 1\2")and
  now every things fine and dandy[8D][;)][^].
  
  IT'S WHAT PEOPLE KNOW ABOUT THEMSELVES THAT MAKES THEM AFRAID.

  A buddy of mine ended up (it's a long story) with a shotgun with a barrel 16" long. He simply soldered a short piece of thin wall tubing on the outside of the barrel that lengthened it to 18". Didn't look too good but made it legal.
  
  You might could do something like that until you get a new barrel. Whatever you do, keep the "length deprived" barrel and receiver separate. Together they could get you in more trouble than you can imagine.

  I suggest Checking with "Randy Weaver", he can be found at many of the Large Gun Shows, and is now an authority on Shotgun Lengths.
  
  And: Buy Randys Book, It is well worth the price, Informative, Factual, Sincere.

  Hate'd to do it ,But a tig just made it all legal like. HAY! now it's customized/? Right?[:D] still looking for that stock/ guess i'll have to make it or have it made/Because i don't think it exists.
