Anybody hear of SPRINGFEILD ARMS from Chicpee Falls Mass.? This is not the same as Springfeild Armory also from Mass. I found an old Dbl. Bbl. 12 ga. that bears this name but nothing else. Thanks

  Stevens/Springfield/Savage- same company. Parts for your double may interchange with Stevens and maybe Savage-Fox double shotguns.

  CAPPY is Correct, Springfield Armory and Springfield Arms are not one and the same. Contracting under the Springfield name was considered a good way to steal Glory. Yet many of the Original Stevens or Savages were designed by Springfield and a few will carry "J.Stevens and Sons" Springfield Pat. Stevens sold out to White-Westinghouse in about 1919 , which inturn sold to Savage Arms in about 1923. The agreement being = Stevens Patent would carry the Stevens name, but say Savage beneath. The Stevens 311 made a small fortune for Savage and remains one of the finest Double Barrel Field Guns, inexpensive, and reliable. [;)] many don't know: Springfield Armory had much to do with the invention of the 1911 45 ACP, Colt =Nothing. [xx(]
