what do you guys think of the smith & wesson 22A-1?

I have one, target version. Seems to shoot well. After I got it it seems someone told me it was made on spec for them by browning. If you compare them side by side, the controls, ect. are very similiar to the BuckMark Browning. I have one of those and it shoots extremely well. Either one is somewhat finicky about being kept clean. But then again, that's probably how it should be. 0 -

ATF / yes i did thanks, relly appreciate all the help from every body. that thing is already gone ( thank god ,didn't want mine to think they can act that way ). NOW truthfully is there any thing that he can do to that gun to make it woth having / short of sticking a doller down the barrel. [B)] And my head stoped hurting so bring on the jennings jokes.

allechalley /[:0] / i just bought a S&W 22-a 1 . shot it 5x .the 5th shot the spring inside the slide was sticking out . apparently the piece in the slide that holds the spring in, blew apart. it's now on it's way back to S&W .we'll see how they handle it. And no-I did not do any thing but try to walk outside and play. I'm glade you are having luck with yours.

i used to own the 22a-1 with 2 barrels(target sporter). i sold the gun shortly after. i was not impressed with the workmanship and the slinky insides. the color was kind of funny too, light blue. the only reason why i bought it was because my brother-in-law needed the cash. 0 -

I had one with 2 barrels, just sold it at the gun shop, never had a problem with it. I figure I put 2000 or so rounds through it.
