Savage 411 Upland Sporter
Hello Experts, I have a few questions concerning the Savage 411 Upland Sporter 12ga Sxs. My old 311 SxS's are getting well worn and would be nice to get a new SxS without getting a mortgage on the farm.
Does anyone have any experience with these shotguns or know of their
reputation? Are they an import with the Savage name? And are they a worth while buy for the money and what one would be getting?..............not going to impress anyone but myself and some rabbits and birds (clay and feathered).
Thanks.
Pack slow, fall stable, pull high, hit dead center.<BR>

Is this the new one that is supposed to be hitting the market this year? If so, I seem to remember reading recently that it is a Russian import, might be made by Baikal for the them on their spec.
I've handled a couple older Baikals, not much to look at but seem to point where you aimed. I seem to remember looking at a recent made Baikal in the last year and they have improved greatly.
You might want to look around, as there are still a lot of 311's and Savage-Fox model B's around that are next to new in the $200 to $350
mark. Also, I hear the new Ruger SXS is coming and may be worth a look.0
