EAA Quality/price

I am new to the handgun world and was looking at purchasing an EAA Witness Tactical II .40 SW. The price is $350.00, is this fair and how would you rate the quality of the companys product?
Any and all info is appreciated.

  Reasonable price from a gunshop; I think you'll like the porting for recoil dampening, the .40 jerks pretty good in any lightweight badge of freedom*, but the increased noise and flash can be disconcerting in dimly-lit venues. EAA makes/imports good guns* in general, and the Witness line IMNTBRAHO (in my never to be regarded as humble opinion), is as good as it gets for the asking price.

  I have had this gun for about a year!
  
  .40 cal
  Wonder finish
  Ported
  
  I really like this gun, but beware ! It will blast your face with
  hot metal pieces out of ports. Wear your safety glasses!!
  I've read that this problem goes away after a while, but mine
  still does it. Other than that I have had no failure to feed problems
  with this firearm.

  PS> I would take your 350.00 add 50.00 and buy a
  Baby Desert Eagle in .40 cal. this is a really
  awesome gun for the money,And takes the same Hi-caps
  as the Witness.I'ts one of my favorite inexpensive
  shooters.
