Scout scope and mount on Marlin 1894

I am going to purchase a Marlin 1894 in 44 mag.. I've seen pictures of a lever gun with some sort of scout scope mount that seems to be in the back sights dovetail and front scope mount holes. Does anyone know who makes that mount and if it would work on the 1894? Also what would be a good scout scope?

  yes there is a mount like the one your're asking about , can't think of who makes it right now , but I have seen them ,,, Leopold makes a great long eye relief scope that works for this type of mount , a good red dot or Bushnell holosight would work too, if I tthink of the mfg I 'll post it [:I]

  the scope is the Leopold M8 2.5 x 28mm IER scout and the mount is XSLever Scout Mount by XS Sight Systems 2401 Ludelle, Fort Worth , TX 76105 tel. 888-744-4880 also check out www.ashleyoutdors.com
