win 94 .25

Is the .25 caliber 94 winchester a collectable gun? I have tried to scan several sale and auction sites but have not found enough to get an idea of worth.

  Hello rcdis,
  
  According to Madis, the least number of 1894's were in .25-35.
  One of the local gun shops here in St. Louis, Mo. has a very nice SRC, all original and no significant wear, $1,500.00.

  My father -inlaw has a model 94 in 25-35 it was his fathers and rightly so will go to his son. I have fondeled it many times, even had the opertunity to shoot it a few times. My brother in law is hoping to take a deer with it some day.

  rcdis, the model 1894 Winchester was made in the caliber 25-35 from 1896 until 1952. It is very collectable in original condition. Most of the early 1894s are not original. In my area the 32-40 and the 38-55 are the hardest to find in original condition. They were discontinued in 1929.
