SKS Paratrooper Model D Value
Just wanted to know how someone places a value on an SKS? I have a Norinco Model "D" Paratrooper that all the numbers match, (serial#20004), and is in great condition..Also "93" is marked on the receiver..I added an ATI non-folding stock, I didn't care for that thumbhole stock that came with the rifle..Did I lower the value by doing that? Is this a decent rifle? Thanks as always, Andy

Andy- these rifles sold for about $120 when they hit the market, and are probably worth about the same now. They are not exactly considered to be collector's items, and the only way that you might lower the value of one is by beating it against a tree or fence for a while.
I bought one in the early 90's, and it is a fine little shooter. I would not sell it for the $120 that I have in it, but I don't think that it is worth much more than that.0 -
This SKS take the standard AK 3ord mags..I believe it's worth a little more than that...Thanks 0 -
Most of the fixed magazine paratrooper SKS rifles that I have seen lately are going for around $250. They sold for around $120 in the very early 90's. So.......yeah........a "D" model is worth just a little bit more than $120. It's value is only determined by what the market brings and right now it's better than $120 0 -
The model "D" w/ak mags are going for $250-350 around here. Price changes daily, but they are still in high demand.
