I Need Winchester Model 70 Info!

    Your M70 was manufactured in 1979, is a post '64 and is indeed the "push feed" action. The pre-64's are the most desirable models, as they are the "controlled feed" (mauser extractor type) and with the more quality machining and parts. Parts, including sights for these post-64's should be easily obtainable from Gun Parts Corporation.

    K-dub has it exactly right, though it is not one of the first push feed actions, the first year being 1964. Should be a very serviceable rifle for you. I do hope you did not pay a "collectable" price for it.
