[?] how do I take a j-22 jennings apart? ( its not mine )save the jokes. I think I'v heard them all[:p]

  There is a retainer in the rear of the slide that looks like a keyhole. Make absolutely sure that the gun is unloaded and drop the firing pin. Push in on the retainer while lifting up and foreward on the slide. There are a couple of springs and the safety tends to fall off, so do this in an uncluttered area. There are parts diagrams at gunparts corps. website if you need it to re-assemble it. Good luck!

  You take it apart by shooting about 300 rounds through it. WHOA! Sorry...the only place I could find a schematic and breakdown of the Jennings J-22 was here but they want a $1.50 for it.

  i shot my j-22 for the first time and it flew apart and my damn dog ate the firing pin.i had to play hell just to get the spring out of her throat.
