reloading the 7mm08

I am trying to reload once fired 7mm08. I have full length sized
and trimmed to just above minimum oal. After loading brass with
145 grain btsp speer the round chambers fine but the bolt won't
close.

  if the cases were fired in your rifle before reloading, then your bullet seating depth is to long, if not then the problem maay be that you didn't not size them enough

  if there are rifling marks on the loaded bullets after you try to chamber a round

  bagel,I like to set my seating die with a factory round first,then most shells I reload fit ok,good luck,Bob.

  Another issue could be that you have set the body of your seating die down too far and have bulged the shoulders of the cases. They will look right,..and the bullest may even be seated away from the rifling,..but if you bulged the shoulder by any more than a few thousandths,..the bolt wont close.
  
  
  Take a dummy round (fired case, with no primer or powder),...and back the seating die off 1/2 turn,..then adjust the seating stem down while seating a bullet in this dummy case, until the OAL matches your other rounds,..then insert that round and see if the bolt closes. If so,..you have bulged your shoulders. Pull the bullets,..save the powder,..trash the cases.
  
  why chase the game when the bullet can get em from here?....

  bagel, a good solution might be a go no go gauge from Wilson, Lyman or some of the other manufacturers. Drop in you finish preped case and the story's over, narrow's down the problems.
