Take down procedure Marlin 39A?

My father-in-law just gave me an older Marlin Golden 39A (1960's or 1970's). He did not use it much but he put oil all over it and the rifle has collected a ton of dust over the years. I would like to clean it throughly. Can some one point me in the right direction for the procedure to take this gun down? Maybe a web site that has instructions? There is a large thumb screw on the receiver that comes out easily, what else needs to be done? Is it a chore to get it back together? Thanks

  Take out the thumbscrew, put the stock against your belly, hold the action with your left hand and lightly bump the action where you removed the screw with your right hand. Don't drop it. You'll see how it goes back together.
  Sometimes they need just this little bump.
  
  Oh,yea, FIRST you check to see if it's unloaded.

  The first time I took mine apart, the firing pin leaped out and went right between the deck boards, never touched one on the way through. It took a magnet on the end of a long stick to get it back, as the deck was too low to crawl under. Emery
