Take down procedure Marlin 39A?

    Take out the thumbscrew, put the stock against your belly, hold the action with your left hand and lightly bump the action where you removed the screw with your right hand. Don't drop it. You'll see how it goes back together.
    Sometimes they need just this little bump.

    Oh,yea, FIRST you check to see if it's unloaded.

    The first time I took mine apart, the firing pin leaped out and went right between the deck boards, never touched one on the way through. It took a magnet on the end of a long stick to get it back, as the deck was too low to crawl under. Emery
