Anyone have this gun? If yes, can you give me some feedbacks on this gun. I'm thinking about getting it for defense. It's going to be a 9mm. I was thinking about the Walther P99 but it was a little big for me so I was thinking about the SW99 instead. One more thing, Smith & Wessons make good guns right?

  i am interested in buying one in 45acp .Does anyone have any info on these guns? all opinions are welcome. thanks

  Hi Hawkeye- & welcome to the forums. I have the SW99 in a .40 caliber. I really like the way it functions and the ergonomic style of the grip is very comfortable in the hand. My only dislike is the location of the magazine release(s)- which is on the bottom of the trigger guard. I used it last weekend for the first time in an IDPA match. The mag release takes some getting used to, especially when under a timed shooting stage. Other than that, I like the pistol.

  I've heard good and bad things about them. One person tells me it's one of the best guns he owns and somebody else tells me they hate it. One says reliable another says it's a paperweight. I guess you got a 50/50 shot at liking one. I suggest that if you can try one out first see if you like it.
