Garand Rear Sights

Can anyone identify the correct rear sight (lockbar 1 or 2) for Springfield Garands produced during 1942? Thanks

  Either flush nut, Type I lockbar, or Type II lockbar, depending upon when in 1942 the rifle was assembled.

  Thanks Neal..the rifle was manufactured in October 1942..any further information based upon that ?

  In October 1942 it would most likely have been assembled with a Type I lockbar.
