    Jon, IMHO the first RB would be perhaps the best value, considering the brass, bayonet, etc. Any RB in decent condition under $400.00 is , in my opinion, worth considering. They do keep escalating in value . Emery

    I'll probably go with the spanish then. I don't have a rolling block yet. Same shop has a nice 1917 sporter Enfield with scope for $100 or so which I might also look at. I don't get into sporters much but could use a highpower scoped rifle cheap, as I am thinking of doing some deer hunting next season... naturally i could use a gun with open sights but never having hunted (at least for deer) I think I'll start with the scope. And it is a fairly nicely done sporter, though I might refinish the stock as the finish is flaking, and if it shoots well have it reblued as the finish is a bit thin. We'll see. As it still has a full length barrel, that little restoration demon might surface someday if I find a stock set.
