.41 AE Ammo
I'm trying to find some of this ammo for a pistol but have only been able to find it for uzi's. Is this the same ammo? Thanks[8D]

I have a FEG Hi-Power clone with a .41ae conversion and the only ammo I ever found for it was made in Israel (IMI). Probably the same stuff you're looking at. They were jacketed hollowpoints with the soft lead tip. I haven't found any sold locally for like 5 years now though.
The last time I saw it for sale at a gun show and the guy was selling 100 rounds (2 boxes, new) for $100.00, I think he was out to lunch though. I switched my FEG back to 9mm after that LOL.
I believe you will more than likely have to buy yourself some brass and reload, otherwise I don't think you are really going to find ammunition very easily for your pistol.

You might check here, the mfg's website forum. It appears as though from a few threads on the forum that they are doing another run of .41ae ammo and components. Hopefully you can find somebody on that forum that can direct you to where you need to go.

Buy a set of .41mag dies,9m/m shell holder and some brass and reload them.That's what I do.You can use .40 S&W info in reloading manuals.No one can convince me that the .40 S&W is as good.As they say bigger is better,Why isn't .41ae better than .40 cal ?

Of the .41ae ammo I have fired off, it was loaded substantially hotter than the .40s&w. The 200gr slug was a definate bonus to the .41ae over the lighter .40s&w in my opinion. I liked the .41ae it's too bad it hasn't caught on.

Well I usually stick with a 10mm but I figured that I would try this out. I'm still convinced that the F.B.I. are a bunch of limp wristed babies. The 10mm is just a great gun to own and shoot. Thanks for the help on the reloading tips.[8D]

I have a Tanfaglio in 41AE. I noticed that Widener's in Tennesse has some IMI ammo and brass available. 200 gr ammo is $14 a box of 50. You will find IMI and UZI ammo that was made in Israel. Speer made it for a while. I have reloaded it using 41 magnum bullets. I prefer the 170 Sierra hp bullet. This is the same round that was chambered in UZI machine guns. 0 -

Check with Norma Precision, last I knew they were still loading ammo for the .41AE. I have'nt bought any for a while, Still have 1500 rds for personal stash. Norma usually loads stuff everyone else gives up on, they seem to have a thing for the odd ammo. Give to a yell, the worst they can say is " dont load that anymore."
BTW, I a fan of the 10mm also, have a couple of Brens and a Colt Commander in 10mm.

I appreciate all the help. I would love to own a Bren, but the prices are just a little to rich for my blood. I've read one too many a horror story concerning the Delta Elite to consider owning one[V]. I can't afford to have a gunsmith work on my gun in order to shoot it. Although I would love to own a Dan Wesson Razorback[:D]
