EAA WITNESS WHATS THE STORY ON THIS GUN JAMMING

I HAVE BEEN LOOKING AROUND AT ALOT OF NEW GUNS FOR SALE AND I CAME ACCROSS THE EAA WITNESS .40 CAL OR 9mm FULL SIZE PRICES AT 384.00 BLUED OR 409.00 WITH THE WOUNDER FINISH.. I HAVE HERD PEOLE SAY THAT ANY EAA WITNESS JAMS.. IS THIS TRUE OR FALES??? IS THIS A GOOD REALIBLE GUN TO OWN A SHOOT, OR NOT SO??

WHAT THE STORY ON THE EAA WITNESS LIKE OF GUNS????
ANY COMMENTS AND SUGGESTIONS PLEASE??

The Witness line is based on the CZ75 and is comparably reliable. I have never had a jam/malfunction on any I have shot. Very nice guns and a very good value. The 45 version is a personal favorite of mine.

Never had a bit of problem with mine, the only people I've heard knock them tend to believe lower priced guns have to jam. Here's a good review on them.

I have two.Both full size. One 45(blued) and one .40 cal ( wonderfinish). They NEVER jam. I carry the .45 the most and I trust it with my life. If you want one get it you won't be sorry.[^]

I have the Witness Special with the adjustable sites in 10mm and to date this is the bst gun I have ever owner or fired. [8D]

For what it is worth, I have a Witness in 9mm and in 45. Both are perfect. No problems at all.[:)

Just like that political saying, "It's the gun,.... stupid".

CZ75 is the platform the Witness was copied from.
CZ75 is second only to the 1911 in, "Most copied gun".
CZ75 is the Israeli Army side arm.

So it must be the gun.
Problems certainly not from improper-poor cleaning or ammo.

The Witness line of pistols is one of the real bargains in the handgun field. As stated, they are based on the CZ75 design, and are outstanding guns. While there is bound to be one now and then that has problems, all with which I am familiar are totally reliable and please their owners greatly. I am fortunate to have a true stainless .45 and true stainless 9x19, and continue my search for a true stainless .38 Super.

The older guns are finished better than new guns, but functionally, they are all great.

I own a 38 Super EAA Witness and never had any problems with it - I think its a fine gun and well worth owning.

FYI: Fire Storm now makes a (reputedly) good mini-45 and minni-40. I have the mini-40 and like it. Price, near the EAA.

I've owned a small frame Witness, a large frame Witness, and an original CZ-75. All worked very reliably.

In virtually all cases, "jamming" is NOT a serious problem. Usually it is just a matter of fine tuning the gun, or if you don't want to do that, finding the right ammo.

Personally, I'd rather fine tune the gun to accept a wide range of ammo than trying to find the "right" ammo. It's usually just a matter of finding the correct strength recoil spring and/or a light polishing of the feed ramp and/or the right amount of extractor tension.

DOCTOR, TURN OFF THE CAPS.

Naw, Witnesses are great guns, I've never heard of one jamming. I heard the Baby Eagle versions might need the feed ramp polished but never anything with the Witness guns. If I could find one with an ambi-safety at a reasonable price I'd buy it.

Bought a full-size one in .45 about a month ago. Great gun and quite accurate out of the box. Your prices seem a little high though, check out youngsguns, I think they're running a sale right now.

I bought a 45 ACP compact from one of our reserve officers. No jamming and it shoots great. A first EAA in my collection and I am pleased with it. The price $100.00 was what I liked best. Even got two mags full of Federal hydra-shock ammo in addition to a full box of ammo with the gun.

Only problem so far is the roll pin above the trigger wants to drift out to the right. EAA is taking care of that as of a few minutes ago and a phone call.
