Another 94 Win. cartridge guide???

I use the NRA Firearms Assembly Handbook all the time. In their instuction on disassembly of a 94 Winchester they say NOT to remove the cartridge guides and if they need to be removed, have it done by a gumsmith. WHY?? There is only one screw in each and the guides appear to fit into a grove in the receiver. How can you get in trouble? What's there that I don't see?

By the way, rcdis responded to my last post and e-mailed drawings of the different guides; great stuff.

  My source says"The screw securing the cartridge guides is inserted through the "inside" surface of the guide and threads into the receiver wall, thus making them extremely difficult to dismount."
  
  Maybe that is the reason for the caution.

  Further reading gives the following. "A very narrow-bladed, offset screw driver is required to remove the Type I cartridge guide screw." The Type I was for the .38-55 cartridge. Apparently the other guides are easier to remove, the warning may be a general caution in case a novice has a Type I guide.
