new Win. 94 AE Trapper ss

Have Win Trapper AE 44mag. finished to look like stainless steel made in 1999. Need to know who ordered this finish put on? JIM

Jim--None of my catalogs show a stainless Trapper, so I would assume that yours was either special order or customized after purchase by an individual. Probably it's satin nickel. The only way to narrow it down is to write a letter to U.S.R.A., provide the serial number and caliber and ask them if they did it. If the manufacturer didn't produce it this way then you've probably run into a roadblock, unless you can trace individual ownership back from where you got it; or from manufacturer to distributor, to owner, to subsequent owner, ATF style.
