french mas question help????

ive got a french mas m1936 and the bolt wont stay forward this rifle is from ww2 can anybody help me? here is a link of what the gun looks like this isnt my gun in the auction thou http://www.gunbroker.com/auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=9618837

  A little clarification....are you saying the bolt won't stay foward with a round in the chamber, or with an empty chamber or it dosen't stay foward when fired (ouch)?

  please clarify. can you run the bolt forward, and turn the bolt handle down???

  no, i put it forward but cant put the bolt handle down then the bolt handle wont stay down it then springs the bolt back

  Is the breach face of the bolt locking down into position or is it stuck and keeps springing back? I don't know anything about this peticular rifle but I had a bolt action with a very similar problem and the rotating lug on the end of the bolt that locked into the breach of the chamber would not rotate and lock and it would spring back open, perhaps you might check it for some rust or lack of lube or something and see if that helps.
