K-98 Mauser
K-98 Mauser, rechambered to .308 by the Israeli's, with original beechwood laminated stock, has been rebarreled with I believe a Davis barrel. Approx. 20 rounds through it. $425.00. It's in excellent condition. Is it worth this much? Currently used as a WWII re-enactment gun.

Who is the buying audience? If a reinactor, the price is way too high. (IMHO) [}:)]
It's not what you know that gets you in trouble, it's what you know that just ain't so!

If it was a really nice full-stock (non-sporterized) Mauser with excellent wood, excellent metal, tight action and excellent bore, I'd offer the person $375 first. But it WOULD be worth about $425 to a nut like me!
Try a little negotiation first. Mausers are fine rifles, with superbly strong actions---though I don't know how far I trust the Israelis in rechambering them....0 -

Mohawk, the rifle you describe is nothing more than a shooter. It has no collector value and the price is too high in my opinion.
You got good advise to buy one from the houses currently selling RC's at half what that one is......
