belgium browning
Can anyone tell me how to take the forearm off the barrells on a browning belgium 28 gauge superimposed...if i pull out the little lever the fore arm just slides forward a bit...others i have it comes completely off the barrells...Helpppppppppp please

Once you have moved the forend forward, a rectangular bar on the bottom of it should slip out of the action/breech and then you open the gun. The barrel assembly with the attached forend should continue rotation and come free of the breech/stock assembly. It's really pretty straightforward.

I can get the barrel and fore arm separated from the butt stock but can't get the fore arm from the barrells...???? It just slides foreward but doesnt release from the barrells...thanks again 0 -

If you want to get the forend free of the barrels, look for a small screw thru the forend. It's flush with the checkering. You'll need a small thin-blade screwdriver. It has normal right hand threads and goes thru the forend iron.It's conceivable that some rust might make it hard to turn, but thats the way it comes out. There is a nut, on the left side I believe, that is also flush with the checkering. Once the screw is removed, the forend should just slide forward and come off. I'm assuming that the 28 is the same as the 12's and 20's. Never took a 28 apart.

For the record; the screw that goes thru the forend only goes thru the forend iron, not thru the ribs as I stated earlier. The screw that goes thru the barrel ribs only goes thru a small filler block to hold it in place.[:I]0 -
