Could somebody please let me know where I can buy ammo for this rifle, how much it costs and is it difficult to obtain.

  .22 WRF (Winchester Rimfire) was made for the Model 1890 Winchester .22 Pump Rifle.
  
  What you need for the Model 1903 is .22 Winchester Automatic ammunition. No other ammuntion should be used in the Model 1903, it would be unsafe!

  Trust what Xracer tells you; he was around when folks used to shoot those 1903's on a regular basis! Seriously, he is correct in warning you that the 1903 used a special Winchester prorietary .22 rimfire ammunition which cannot be used in any other firearm nor can standard .22 LR rimfire be used safely in your 1903. These little rifles are entertaining to shoot, but at more than 25 cents each time you pull the trigger and with the brass non reloadable it gets rather pricey rather quickly.

  Actually, I did used to use an '03 to shoot rats at the Bucksport (Maine) Town Dump in the '40's....and a hardware store in town actually stocked the ammo for it!

  Guys, I don't know what to say except please forgive me. This is not a simple mistake, it's just dumb. I live with 22's, own a 1903, know (thought I knew) the difference. Old age? Brain fart? Take your pick. [^]
