Mounting red dot sight

Was given a BSA 30MM red dot sight with integrated rail for Fathers Day to use on my 22's. Problem is guns have 3/8" rail and scope mount is 1/2" rail. Anybody make a conversion rail base? thanks for your help

  there are some 1" weaver type rails available , like for the Ruger 10-22, also on some rifles you can have them drilled and tapped
  what kind of rifle is it?

  It's a Winchester Model 7.

  I saw an adapter just last week {maybe in Brownells} that changes the 3/8 groove to a standard weaver type base.

  I had the same problem with the same site. I found an adapter at a gun show. I can't remember who made the conversion but it was one of the big name companies. It only cost me a couple of bucks. $5 or so.
